Our History
Blayman Music was founded in 1972 by Herb Blayman, who was a clarinetist in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra for over 30 years. His musical instrument stands and Bb Clarinet mouthpieces have been the standard of excellence ever since.
Herb’s designs meet the demands of the most discriminating musicians. Blayman stands are durable, dependable and made of materials that will be kind to your instruments.
From 2002 to 2019 the Blayman Music was owned by Dr. Randle Beecham, who is a doctor and woodwind doubler. He took over the company after Herb retired and ensured that Blayman stands and mouthpieces would continue for the next generation of musicians.
As of 2020, Blayman Music is owned by Julie Pacheco, who is a woodwind doubler and Broadway musician. She is a long-time user of Blayman stands and is thrilled to be continuing the legacy Herb began 48 years ago.
